WBR2 - SERIES OF ANCIENT PORTRAITS
Contains 44 color plate reproductions published
in Court Magazine between 1830 and 1840. The high resolution scans can be printed for reference or to frame and hang decoratively. A cover is included so the pages can be bound as a book if desired. Included are royal and interesting personages from Isobel of Angouleme to Madame de Pompadour to the Empress Josephine. The pictures will be found useful in decoupage, scrapbooking and altered art as well as costume research for reenactments.

This two CD presentation is the authorized CD reprint of all copies of the famed series of patterns drafted by Helen Barglebaugh.  It contains even long out-of print numbers eagerly sought by doll seamstresses.  Originally published on a subscription basis between 1974 and 1991, all 33 issues have full size patterns, drawings and photographs to make different sets of clothes for various types of antique dolls. These reprints are presented so that they can be assembled into a notebook for easy reference or printed directly from the disc when needed. WBR7: LITTLE LILAS AND ME

This is the record of a year-long adventure recreating some of the clothing belonging to a wonderful Rohmer doll who lives in the the Paris Doll Museum. All of the the childlike clothing belonging to the French doll has been recreated for Cathy Hansen's Victoria doll and Alice Leverett's Marie Terese. Both were souvenirs for UFDC events. There are two sets of patterns -- one for 9 inch dolls and one for 10 1/2 inch dolls. Patterns include 11 pieces of underwear, 7 dresses, 1 coat, a fur cape and muff, 7 bonnets, a pair of shoes, a pair of boots, and some jewelry. Also contained on the CD is a collection of color photographs showing construction details, finished garments and a few actual doll garments of the 1860s. Complete instructions are included. all patterns and instructions, as well as a booklet or notebook cover, are listed as separate items so that they may be printed as needed. Celebrates the centennial of the Mary Frances Sewing Book. It contains a review of sewing lessons published for children during the last half of the 19th Century and the first years of the 20th Century. The Art of Ribboncraft
DVD 1. Ribbons can be used to decorate packages and homes, bedding and tables. Most importantly, ribbons make wonderful decorations for doll clothes and bonnets. This video describes many beautiful ribbon trims. Susan shows you how to make them in your choice of ribbons. Miniature Dolls – An Introduction to Dressmaking
DVD 2. An Introduction to Dressmaking. Fine camera work shows closely detailed video footage of beautiful miniature dolls—antique as well as modern artist's creations in 1” and ½” scale. Each doll is discussed with particular attention to costume details. The DVD also shows you how to construct a basic dress with romantic puffed sleeves and full skirt. The dress will fit 51/2” doll house dolls in 1” scale. The simple “French had gluing” technique popularized by Susan is clearly shown. Finally, various types of trims are shown and described. DVD 3. The ABCs of Doll Bonnets. What is the difference between a hat and a bonnet? There is none, really. Both are the subject of this video which shows doll bonnets, both modern and antique, old and new. Beautiful color and close camera work show the beauty of these diminutive chapeaux to their best advantage. Dolls of all sizes show the beauty of bonnet artistry. Additionally, there is a discussion of fashion in the 19 th Century which shows ladies' clothing as well as their hat fashions. Two “HOW-To” sections show how to make bonnets in great step-by-step detail. One section shows how to make a bonnet for larger dolls; the other shows a bonnet for a miniature doll. As the cost of paper and printing rises, the cost of the end product increases. In an effort to share the greatest amount of information in as inexpensive a way as possible, The Wish Booklets has begun to publish Electronic Resources. The WBResources are books on CD which can be viewed on your computer monitor through the magic of electronics. The WBResources can be read using Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free downloadable program available at www.adobe.com . The reader chooses whether or not to print the entire resource or just a particular portion of particular interest.
