The paper doll at the right is one of a series that children used to perform plays. The frames were mounted on cardboard and the center cut out to permit the child to put his or her face inside the oval, making an instant character and style change. Two of the pages are shown here. If you print out the page in color, mount it on card, and cut out the oval...it will fit small dolls like Riley or Hitty.
